Costs of implants

The question of cost in each individual case cannot be answered in terms of a flat rate. The expenses are in direct relation to the level of difficulty of the operation, the materials needed and the ensuing prosthetic complexity. Usually there are choices between simple, complex and a luxury version and decisions to be made. In addition, further expenses may be caused if the bone needs to be augmented in the process of implantation.

Generally speaking, one can say that an implant can cost between €1,000 and €1,500 plus the cost of the tooth replacement. The cost of implantation treatment is usually carried in part by private health insurance. As of social insurance companies have a fixed rate, depending upon the diagnostic findings, which decrease the patient’s expenditure. In this case it is not the actual implant that is subsidized but the tooth replacement itself.
